Textual Analysis Of - Cosmopolitan Magazine
'Cosmopolitan' is typically aimed at the female audience, this can be seen clearly through the colours used on the front cover, purple and yellow are seen as being feminine.
The image used is that of 'Kristen Bell' whos an actress, at the time of this issues publication she had just released a fil 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and is becoming well-known. The image itself appears infront of the masthead this gives the impression that the magazine is popular and having the name fully visible isn't required.
The cover states that its 'The sexy issue' and 'when your boobs act weird' this again gives the feeling that its a female audience and thats who the magazine is directed at.
The font styles used are very big, bold and stand out against the coloured background used, this draws the audiences attention to them.
The magazine clearly targets women and their problems, the magazine gives advise and tips on what could make their problems better.
