'Kerrang' is a music magazine which is typically aimed at 15-19 year old's who are interested in rock, punk, grunge and or indie music, you can tell this because of the bands which appear on the front cover of the magazine.
The title 'Kerrang' is placed behind the main image, this gives the impression that the audience not being able to see the title doesn't really matter because its that iconic you can tell what the magazine is anyway. The slogan 'life is loud' is also partially behind the main image this gives the sense of what type of bands are going to be seen inside this magazine. The strap line at the top of the magazine.
The main image is of 'Matt from the band Muse' the image is set at a gig, with him playing the guitar, the background is very dark with green lighting giving him a slight glow, hes wearing bright red which stands out against the dark background his expression is serious which also shows what type of music this magazine deals with.
Other images are set down the left-hand side of the magazine for well known bands such as 'Green Day, My Chemical Romance and Bullet For My Valentine' these images show what music will appear inside the magazine, these bands may also be the winners of something, but the readers are left wondering what this is in doing this it gives people a reason to want to buy the magazine.
